Cookie Policy
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files containing minimal information that a server can send to your browser and your computer, smartphone, or other device whenever you visit a website or social network. The same server that stored them can read the cookies on your device to obtain various types of information.
There are different types of cookies:
- permanent (persistent cookies) that remain on the computer until the user deletes them,
- temporary (session cookies) that are deactivated when the browser is closed.
Cookies can also be distinguished by their type of use:
- profiling cookies, which are used to collect sensitive user data for promotional and advertising purposes,
- technical cookies, which are used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are cookies that are essential for the functioning of the site or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
The following types of technical cookies fall into the category of:
- "analytics" cookies, used directly by the website operator to collect aggregate statistics on the number of users and how they visit the website;
- navigation or session cookies;
- functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
There are also "third-party cookies," which are cookies from websites or web servers other than the Data Controller's, used for the purposes of said third parties, including profiling cookies. These third parties are independent data controllers of the data collected through the cookies they serve; therefore, the user must refer to their personal data processing policies, information notices, and consent forms (selection and deselection of their respective cookies), as specified in the Prov. Gen. Identification of simplified procedures for providing information and obtaining consent for the use of cookies – May 8, 2014.
